South of the star Theta Leonis is a small group of galaxies known as the Leo Triplet. This contains the Messier objects M65 and M66, plus an additional galaxy NGC 3628.

In the centre of this picture the three galaxies of the triplet can be seen faintly. This picture puts them in context below the brightest star in the picture, which is Theta Leonis.
This picture was captured on Fuji provia 400F film using a 135mm lens set at f/4.0. The exposure was 16 minutes.
